These terms explain the rules for using sewsimplejoy.com. They are written in plain English so they are easy to follow. If anything is unclear, email hello@sewsimplejoy.com.
Sew Simple Joy is run by an individual based in Pakistan, referred to in these terms as “the operator of this site”, “we”, “us” or “our”. “You” means anyone who visits or uses the site.
Acceptance of terms
By using sewsimplejoy.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These terms apply to every page, guide, image and comment section on the site. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Use of content
You are welcome to read, print and use our guides for your own personal, non-commercial sewing. Sharing is welcome too, as long as it points people back to the original page.
What you can do:
- Read our guides and print them for your own use.
- Share links to any page on social media, in emails, in forums or on your own website.
- Save our images to Pinterest using the Pin button or the page link, as long as the pin links back to the original post.
- Quote a short excerpt (a sentence or two) with credit to Sew Simple Joy and a link to the original post.
What you cannot do without our written permission:
- Copy or republish full articles, or large parts of them, on another website, blog, newsletter, social media account, ebook or printed material.
- Use our photos, graphics or pin images on your own website or social media account, or remove any credit or watermark from them.

Educational information only
Everything on Sew Simple Joy is general educational information for home sewing. It is not professional advice and it cannot account for your specific machine, tools, fabric or situation.
Sewing involves sharp tools, hot irons and electrical machines, so please take care:
- Always follow the manual for your sewing machine, iron, rotary cutter and other tools. Where your manual and our guides differ, follow your manual.
- Unplug your sewing machine before changing the needle, cleaning it or doing any maintenance.
- Close the rotary cutter blade every time you put the cutter down.
- Set your iron to the right temperature for the fiber you are pressing, and check the fabric care label first.
- Keep pins, needles, blades and hot irons away from children and pets, and supervise children who are sewing.
You use the information on this site at your own risk.
No guarantees of results or accuracy
We work hard to make our guides clear and correct, but we cannot guarantee that every guide is complete, error-free or up to date. We also cannot guarantee that you will get the same results, because machines, fabrics, tools and skill levels vary.

Prices, availability, specifications and offers change often and may be different from what a post describes. Always check the details on the retailer’s or manufacturer’s website before you buy. User comments
